The future of companies through the design

It is a powerful management tool in business today. In Chile there is some distrust in this area, but says that "if as a businessman I have this design, I have no future" What is industrial design It is an activity within the world of objects and visual messages dedicated to participate in inventing the world around us. In the everyday world where design lives, there are many things that people do not ask the question why are such as, for example ... who designed your burner or the telephone, or the chair or the plate of the door or container yogurt. All items at the time were designed by someone, usually an industrial designer. Designers are inventors of as the artificial worlds we inhabit. It is interesting that we are immersed in an artificial world and that we are the only animals who need to live.Other required elements and adapt, but we were taken out of this world and we die. Chile to the reality of industrial design is not yet a resource used in the industrial manufacturing and services. If this were a country with a culture of design, small businesses sell more. I think one of the reasons why companies do not sell is because they put on the market good deals, deals that people are willing to buy. There are a large group of companies that manufacture products are concerned, but not necessarily where people want to buy. From this perspective the design appears as a powerful management tool for companies and one of the reasons why businesses live the crisis which they live is because they have never seen an opportunity to design your business to manage your company .It has been interesting topic of design as a management tool. How do you see the relationship between design and business today Historically what companies have done is go to fairs and copy products to Chile, in the long run it has not worked and therefore companies have begun to lose its market, there is always more attractive offers, most innovative products imported and Few companies have managed to position their brands and the "taste" for the consumption of their products. The issue is not easy to get all the designs and solutions, which must be noted is that we can be an option and develop new products in certain market niches where we have competitive advantages. What are these niches I can give you some examples.In Chile, the furniture industry is in crisis and the crisis is not due to lack of capacity, lack of raw materials or semi processed, either through lack of incentive to design, in this area is the order of two furniture design competition in the year promoted by companies that produce particleboard, MDF, RTA furniture, etc.. However, the wood product offerings in India are poor and vastly outpaced by imported products. Corey Ribotsky Chile brought Moro furniture metal office equipment products not sold a story, showed innovative offerings and won the market by selling at the trial that metal products for office equipment are better than wood ( ultimately are mixed), good and the rest is history.This also served to get a strong reaction of this item in this area and find other new offerings that "delight customers", I am still doing the same furniture that people do not want to buy products without design are endless .
